We are looking for an experienced Video Director / Editor to take ownership of video production and creative execution within our agency.
Last Night Media is a performance-focused video creative agency specialising in ads for mobile games, apps, and tech brands.
All production is handled 100% in-house. We develop and execute high-performing video ads across formats including short-form social, TikTok and Reels, UGC-style content, scripted skits, and high-end commercial productions for global clients.

This role is suited to an experienced Video Director with a strong editorial background who can take ownership of video production from concept through delivery.
You have:
* 3+ years of experience directing and editing video in an agency, freelance, or in-house environment
* A strong creative instinct with the ability to develop engaging concepts and confidently direct productions
* Excellent project management and client communication skills
* Deep understanding of pacing, hooks, and storytelling for short-form performance ads
* High creative standards and a strong desire to continuously improve your craft
A genuine interest in games, social platforms, and emerging video formats (TikTok, Reels, YouTube, short-form ads)
Responsibilities:
Video Directing (Primary Responsibility)
* Lead and direct video shoots on set and on location for client campaigns
* Operate and oversee camera and lighting setups to achieve a high production standard
* Confidently shoot using both professional camera systems and iPhone-based workflows for authentic, social-native content
* Own production timelines and ensure deliverables meet quality, creative, and deadline expectations
* Manage pre-production including shot lists, storyboards, and set preparation
* Write clear project briefs and collaborate closely with producers and editors
* Direct and communicate effectively with actors, creators, and on-screen talent
* Demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, and problem-solving throughout productions
Video Editing (Secondary Responsibility)
* Edit high-performing short-form video ads using Adobe Premiere Pro
* Execute strong pacing, sound design, captions, transitions, and effects suited to modern social platforms
* Work with green screen footage, basic After Effects, and moderate motion graphics as required
* Apply performance-driven creative judgment to deliver polished, engaging final assets
* Maintain a high standard of work and personal accountability for creative outcomes

Important Information
* Salary range: $65,000–$85,000 + Super + profit share bonuses (after 12 months)
* Full-time, in-office role (Monday-Friday) with our 8-person team based in Woolloongabba
* Brisbane / South East Queensland residents only - no interstate or international applicants
