**The Role**
The Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Land Systems Program Office (EWIS Land SPO) is seeking a highly professional, motivated and skilled Export Controls Officer. The Export Controls Officer will support the SPO in delivering a range of sensitive leading edge capabilities that support our frontline Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel and assets, both domestically and overseas.
The Export Controls Officer will be part of a collaborative team providing governance support to the EWIS Land SPO. The position will be responsible for export control management and advice, and domestic technology control support to the SPO.
The role requires knowledge of the United States International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), End User Undertakings and the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process.
Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, strong organisational and record-keeping skills and a responsive approach to dealing with complex enquiries will be required of this role. Liaison with both internal and external stakeholders is core to the role. A successful track record with Export Controls and Foreign Military Sales processes is highly regarded.

- Scheduling export control outputs to meet SPO deliverables.
- Developing, maintaining and implementing Technology Control Plans (TCP).
- Management of US Controlled or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
- Foreign Military Sales (FMS) technology management.
- Providing advice and assisting to produce/execute:
- Technology control planning relating to Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) agreements outside of Australia,
- Cooperative Programs (MOU),
- Confidentiality Deed Poll, and
- Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- TAA Management.
- Have experience working in and/or providing Defence export controls support.
- Have experience managing domestic technology controls, including arrangements for safeguarding sensitive information.
- Be a highly motivated, organised and proactive team member with excellent communication skills.
- Have the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to provide advice and services for a range of complex corporate, administration and business support activities.
- Have highly developed written skills, and experience in writing policy, project, and government documents.
All responses are to demonstrate experience, or the ability to quickly acquire skills, in managing export controls and domestic technology control, including the management of agreements relating to sensitive information. Also, demonstrate the Integrated Leadership Framework at the APS 6 level.
