Opportunity for an enthusiastic Level 2 IT support engineer to join the IT support team of a national client
About the Role
* IT support vacancy in a nation-wide company.
* Immediate start. 12 month contract.
* Looking for candidates with previous IT Support/Help Desk experience.
* Strong technical background in Windows OS, desktop/laptop, hardware/software and end user support.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide onsite and remote Desktop IT Support in a customer facing role in a corporate environment.
* Coordinate and follow-up with end users.
* Build devices, perform IT troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and relevant questions.
* Tracking, routing and redirecting problems to correct resources.
* Manage work via ticketing system.
* Updating documentation as required such as quick reference guides, support documentation; contribute to common fixes and existing knowledge base.
Required Experience
* Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
* Ability to deal with corporate staff in a friendly and professional manner over the phone and face to face.
* A minimum of 12 months experience in an IT Support / Help Desk role.
* Strong IT troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Must have accurate record keeping skills.
* Co-ordination skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Understanding of Active Directory, add/change user permissions.
* Printer setup such as adding & configuring print queues, updating static IP address and test printing.
* PC staging, SOE builds, SCCM deployment experience will be looked upon favourably.
