About the Position
Stockair is now seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, hands on and independent individual to put their stamp on this role. The roles' purpose is to coordinate live animal domestic and export transport solutions by airfreight, whilst ensuring premium animal welfare practices and meeting the needs of our clients.
This role is primarily focused on preparation of each load, this includes planning, communicating with many external stakeholders and administering the finer details of animal logistics around air freight. Additionally, the successful applicant will attend animal loading, manage stock (packaging materials), undertake operational compliance and support in administrative tasks. Strong communication and advanced Microsoft office skills, with a good dose of energy are key to performing this role successfully.
The Live Animal Export Coordinator will be responsible for the general operational functions including:
* Coordinate livestock and avian consignments, including planning, booking transport, monitoring and risk managing consignment movements.
* Prepare and submit accurate administration requirements for consignments.
* Forward planning on consignments, stock levels and bookings
* Ensure that all practices meet biosecurity, export, and regulatory requirements.
* Support with compliance through coordinating operational compliance and compliance administration.
* Physically carry out aspects of the animal loading process when necessary.
* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the safe transfer of consignments.
* Provide excellent customer service
* Provide administrational support to the team in maintaining compliance, planning detailed aspects of consignments and improving practices.
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes and Experience
• Advanced skills in Excel and Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills to consult, negotiate, motivate and/or lead.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Independent & show initiative to problem solve and take decisive action in intense situations
• High level of integrity and discretion, when considering business decisions and actions.
• Meticulously detailed in areas of quality assurance and logistical planning
• Forward focused, constantly planning for future needs and efficiencies
• Creative thinker, able to visualize design needs and capacity improvements
• Understanding and experience working with livestock/transport logistics/ airfreight. Beneficial but not essential
• Friendly, professional, 'can-do' attitude
