About You:
Are you a seasoned consultant/contract lawyer looking for a fresh approach, or a lawyer thinking of taking the leap to flex-working in 2026? If you are interested in finding out what it's like to work with us as a Reach Legal Consultant, we would love to hear from you.
Skills and Experience needed:
With a growing base of clients in Melbourne, we would love to talk to lawyers with a current Practising Certificate (or ability to obtain one) who are interested in exploring opportunities to work with Ashurst clients or within one of the firm's Practice Groups.
With a diverse client base across a range of industries, we are able to offer a variety of interesting assignments. Many roles are hybrid and we can work with you to find a role that suits you in terms of numbers of days/hours worked.
We regularly have opportunities for lawyers with excellent experience in the following areas:
* Banking & Finance
* Construction and Projects
* Corporate/M&A
* Dispute Resolution/Investigations
* Employment law
* Energy/Resources/Utilities
* Environment & Planning/Native Title
* Financial Services (Regulatory & Transactional)
* General Commercial Contracts
* Technology/Telecommunications/IP
As well as relevant legal experience you will need:
* Senior stakeholder management skills
* Strong commercial and business acumen
* The ability to rapidly understand and adapt to the needs of the business
* An excellent client service focus, ethic and commitment
* The right to live and work in Australia (and be based here) and hold or be able to obtain a current practising certificate
* Willingness to engage with Ashurst via an Independent Incorporated Legal Practice or casual employment
