The Role
We seek a casual Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care Services in the Illawarra Region. As a vital team member, you will provide top-notch nursing support and ensure patients receive optimal care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be the primary point of contact for patients in urgent care – effectively triage every patient with accuracy and confidence.
* Conduct thorough nursing assessments – quickly identify patient needs and prioritize care to ensure the best possible outcomes.
* Act decisively in critical situations – identify and escalate emergencies or patient deterioration without hesitation to safeguard patient health.
* Promote hands-on procedural care – perform suturing and plastering, expanding your expertise in a fast-paced environment.
* Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care – collaborate closely with patients and medical practitioners to ensure a supportive care experience.
* Support patients in achieving their health goals – guide them toward the best clinical outcomes with your knowledge and care.
Requirements:
* Current AHPRA registration as an Registered Nurse.
* Must be available evenings and weekends.
* Meet the minimum experience level in any one of the following: 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting, 3 years of triage experience, or 3 years of experience in ICU, CCU, Rural or remote nursing.
