Role Overview:
Responsible for delivering quality mental health nursing care at an advanced level that requires a broad knowledge in professional issues for clients who experience severe and persistent mental illness.
Promote professional standards of practice and conduct and be responsible for the achievement of service goals and standards utilising contemporary mental health nursing evidence based interventions.
Provide clinical interventions to ensure recovery focused and evidence-based care, plans and coordinate the clinical management of client care within a multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate (essential).
Current credentialing as a Mental Health Nurse through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (desirable)
Extensive experience working in mental health settings and managing clients with severe and persistent mental health conditions and complex needs.
Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills,
The ability to engage people who are hard to reach and advocate on their behalf
Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, carers and stakeholders.
Ability to use a desktop computer, with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and capacity to learn how to use a new clinical software package
Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
Current Driver's License.
