About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide expert Clinical Informatics knowledge as well as supporting the general function of the unit through role modelling and application of the principles of best practice, education, leadership, and portfolio management. This role will support the Nurse Manager of Clinical Informatics to provide system support and maintenance for Care Delivery aspects of the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR) as well as other systems within the Clinical Informatics portfolio.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 1 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing/midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Apply advanced Clinical Informatics and nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to support the delivery of a high standard of consumer/person-centred care utilising digital solutions to optimise workflows.
Provide specialist nursing and advanced health care knowledge, skills and ability, specific to Clinical Informatics supported by advanced knowledge of the ieMR, including change request management, downtime procedures and capability to support these activities.
