Chief Executive Officer - Kimberley Aboriginal Women's Council
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead the Kimberley Aboriginal Women’s Council in Broome, Western Australia. This is a full‑time position responsible for the overall management and direction of the organisation, with a focus on empowering and supporting Aboriginal women in and across the Kimberley region.
What you’ll be doing
Provide strong leadership and vision to drive the strategic direction and objectives of the organisation
Oversee the day‑to‑day operations and management of the Kimberley Aboriginal Women’s Council, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, funding bodies, and community partners
Represent the organisation and advocate on behalf of Aboriginal women in the Kimberley region
Manage and develop the organisation's team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and funding agreements
Oversee the organisation's financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation
What we’re looking for
Extensive experience in a senior management or executive leadership role, preferably in the not‑for‑profit or community services sector
Proven track record of strategic planning, project management, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships
Thorough understanding of governance, compliance, and financial management principles
