About the Position
Execute operational plans, ensure safety standards are met, quality is maintained, and environmental regulations are upheld. This role is critical for maintaining efficient operations and serving as a delegate for senior management.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute operational plans and achieve production targets.
* Direct and coordinate shift activities, including workforce planning, attendance, and overtime management.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for team members.
* Oversee equipment isolation processes, conduct job safety analyses (JSAs), and lead toolbox talks.
* Manage and respond to on-shift incidents related to safety, quality, or the environment.
* Serve as the site's designated fire warden and uphold site security protocols.
* Log downtime accurately in the factory floor information system to support continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory or shift leadership role within a manufacturing setting.
* Strong understanding of production scheduling, equipment operations, and safety practices.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and engage teams across shifts.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity with human resources information systems (HRIS) and plant monitoring/data logging systems.
* Knowledge of emergency response protocols and site security measures.
* Competency in JSA facilitation and permit-to-work systems.
* Trade qualification or tertiary education in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
* Fire warden and first aid certification.
* Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
* Proficiency in SAP software.
