In December 2024, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network. Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced
Counsellor Worker
to join our team. You will provide high-quality, client-centered counselling, conduct psychosocial and risk assessments, deliver targeted interventions, coordinate care, and connect clients with community resources to support their overall well-being.

Day to day
* Provide individual and group counselling treatments addressing a wide range of psychosocial issues.
* Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments to inform treatment planning.
* Develop and implement personalized care and intervention plans, including crisis support.
* Coordinate with external health providers.
* Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision.
Lets talk about you
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counselling or a related field.
* Current registration with ACA, PACFA, or equivalent professional body.
* Minimum of 3 years post-qualification counselling experience.
* Proficiency in therapeutic modalities for mental health, trauma, addictions, and family dynamics.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Empathetic, culturally sensitive, and able to build rapport with diverse clients.
* Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
