Speech Pathologist Role
Hawkesbury Community Health is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team on a temporary assignment. As a key member of our team, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for adults and/or paediatric patients presenting with communication and swallowing disorders.
This role offers the opportunity to work in partnership with families to provide effective interventions for children within a limited session model.
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who has a demonstrated understanding of primary health care principles and experience working effectively with families from different backgrounds.

* A degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligible for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
* Level 1: newly qualified Speech Pathologist with less than three years clinical experience; Level 2: a minimum of three years clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist
* Demonstrated experience in providing paediatric Speech Pathology services and ability to work in partnership with families to provide effective interventions for children within a limited session model.
* Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively with families from different psychosocial, socio-economic and/or culturally diverse backgrounds.
* Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary team within a community setting and an understanding of primary health care principles.
* Demonstrated understanding of the indicators of child protection issues and mandatory reporting guidelines and responsibilities.
* Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications (e.g. CHIME, Cerner, Outlook)
