About The Team

Grocery and Retail is a startup within Uber, focused on growth, supported by Uber's large global ridesharing and delivery businesses. It involves delivering everything that isn't restaurant food—think groceries, essentials, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, pet supplies, beauty, and more. As an Account Executive in the GR team, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing business opportunities for our partners by providing comprehensive proposals that leverage Uber Eats' retail strategy. You will help shape our customer value proposition in ANZ and deepen collaboration with retail partners to drive sustainable and profitable growth.

About The Role

* Lead the acquisition and growth of local hero grocers and single-aisle merchants, such as butchers or fishmongers in ANZ, bringing the best selection to Uber Eats consumers.
* Qualify prospective leads, sell Uber Eats to partners, and identify opportunities for mutual growth.
* Establish and maintain long-term trusted relationships with decision-makers, working collaboratively to achieve mutual success.
* Negotiate deals and manage associated commercial and legal processes.
* Contribute to building a best-in-class grocery and retail proposition in ANZ.
* This role may include future account management responsibilities as the segment grows.
* Collaborate with sales operations teams to analyze data and identify opportunities to improve sales strategies, processes, and execution.

The Experience You'll Bring

* Proven track record of managing a strategic pipeline or book of business, including opportunity/risk analysis, forecasting, and exceeding metrics-based business goals.
* End-to-End Sales Cycle Management – ability to drive momentum from initial contact with a partner through to mature lifecycle and revenue generation, including handling objections related to product use and commercial/legal terms.
* Executional Excellence – ability to deliver measurable results and continuous improvements despite challenges.
* Strong communication skills and experience with a consultative selling approach.
* Commercial acumen—understanding how businesses operate and how to navigate partner organizations.
