About the role
This is a part-time role based in Traralgon, VIC as an Aged & Disability Support Worker with Senior Helpers Gippsland'. You will be providing compassionate in-home care and support to elderly and disabled clients, ensuring they can continue living independently in their own homes.
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping and transportation
2. Providing companionship and social engagement to improve clients' quality of life
3. Monitoring clients' wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
4. Following individualised care plans to meet each client's unique needs and preferences
5. Collaborating with families, healthcare professionals and the wider care team
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience in aged care, disability support or a related field
2. Qualifications such as a Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability Support or equivalent
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
4. Empathy, patience and a genuine desire to make a difference in people's lives
5. A caring, respectful and professional approach
6. A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
