Project Engineer Role
A lifestyle job based in a coastal city known for its wineries and stunning beaches.
This engineer will drive project success from tender through completion, working within a team and reporting to the construction manager.
* Plan and resource projects according to scope, client requirements, and budget.
* Lead cost management from tender through delivery, including budgets, forecasting, and cost-to-complete tracking.
* Oversee contract compliance, variations, claims, and monthly financial reporting.
* Manage project quality requirements to ensure high technical standards.
* Coordinate engineering activities and implement SWMS, Special Processes, and corrective actions.
* Develop subcontract packages with accurate scoping, commercial conditions, and best-value outcomes.
* Analyse and maintain project programs, tracking progress and implementing mitigation where needed.
* Ensure EBA compliance and support a strong safety culture.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or related) and 2+ years of experience delivering civil infrastructure projects up to $20m for contractors.
They should have strong commercial, forecasting, and cost control skills, as well as the ability to maintain positive client relationships and meet contractual obligations.
Additionally, they should be proactive problem-solvers able to spot and address issues early.
