About the OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an experienced
PLM Application Developer
with expertise in CAD/CAM ship design suit to develop, customize, automate and integrate Foran modules to support structural modelling, outfitting, electrical systems and engineering workflows. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in
Perl, Python, hands on experience with FORAN ship design software (modules such as FDESIGN, FSRUCT, FOUTFUT, FPIPE etc).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Foran license management and project backup management
Ability to develop and maintain custom script using script language Perl or Python, macros and automation tools within Foran.
Foran server installation, configuration and maintenance
Foran application configuration, patches and maintenance
Ability to develop integration between FORAN and PLM tools
Support import/export of 3D models, drawings and manufacturing data
Provide technical support and troubleshooting to design and engineering teams
Work ship design engineers to understand requirements and translate them in technical solutions.
Implement validation checks to ensure data consistency across discipline.
About YOU
Bachelor's degree in Computer ScienceEngineering, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience with FORAN ship design software
Proficiency in scripting language Python and Perl
Experience with DevOps tools (Git, BitBucket CI/CD) for managing Engineering scripts and templates.
Experience with other PLM tools like Windchill, Creo
Possess Agile methodology skill sets (Scrum and Kanban) and ability to use BAE toolsets (Jira and Confluence) to plan and deliver technical changes via sprint activities.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Possess strong analytical, problem-solving and proven time-management skills with focus on good customer service, stakeholder management and ability to collaborate with diverse engineering teams.
