What you'll be doing
* Diagnose and repair various forklift models and components, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engines
* Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate
* Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on forklift care and operation
* Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
* Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
* Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications in automotive or mechanical engineering, with a focus on forklift maintenance and repair
* Proven experience as a forklift service technician, preferably in a field-based role
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve a wide range of forklift issues
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
* A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
* A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
