Catering Assistant - Aged Care
Location: Glenorchy
Shift: 9:30am - 5pm
About the Role
Join a supportive aged‑care team where you'll contribute to high‑quality meal service, resident wellbeing, and a clean, safe kitchen environment. We're looking for someone reliable, respectful, and committed to excellent food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with meal preparation, plating, and serving
Follow dietary requirements, including allergies, cultural needs & texture‑modified diets
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and food preparation equipment
Wash dishes, utensils, and tools using correct cleaning methods
Support stock rotation and monitor food storage temperatures
Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols
Complete daily cleaning schedules & temperature logs
Communicate respectfully with residents, colleagues, and supervisors
What We're Looking For
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene & infection control standards
Ability to follow dietary instructions in an aged‑care environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, organised, and committed to resident-focused service
