Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Nuclear Medicine and PET Physicist role based in Melbourne, VIC. The role involves providing expert clinical physics services in nuclear medicine and PET. Key responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance in radiation safety, optimizing imaging protocols, quality assurance activities, and maintaining equipment calibration. The candidate will also lead research initiatives, contribute to staff education, and play a pivotal role in advancement opportunities for clinical innovation. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care is an integral part of this position.
Qualifications
* Expert knowledge of Nuclear Medicine Physics and PET, including experience with imaging protocols, quality assurance measures, and equipment calibration
* Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and regulatory compliance in clinical settings
* Proficiency in research and development, data analysis, clinical innovation, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to lead and educate multidisciplinary teams, including mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
* A recognized postgraduate qualification in medical physics (or equivalent)
* Certification in Radiation Safety and a valid license to practice as a Medical Physicist
