Mental Health Support Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team delivering structured, recovery-oriented support to individuals with psychosocial challenges.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting people to build capacity, strengthen community connections, and live independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver time-limited, goal-oriented support in line with national guidelines, focused on improving daily functioning and achieving recovery goals.
* Collaborate with participants to co-design and implement individual recovery plans based on their strengths, needs, and aspirations.
* Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and adapt supports as needed.
* Co-facilitate group programs that promote recovery, social connection, skill-building, and personal development.
* Provide capacity building support across key life domains including housing, employment, education, physical health, and social engagement.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A Certificate IV or above in a relevant field OR a minimum of 2-years full-time experience working in the human services field.
* A strong commitment to recovery-based practice in the workplace.
* Understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of mental health issues.
* Demonstrated alignment to our values.
* A current Australian Driver's Licence (and willingness to travel locally for community-based support).
