The Role
We are hiring a Sales Manager / BDM to drive net‐new growth and own commercial outcomes in partnership with Microsoft. This is a sales‐led, quota‐carrying role covering pipeline generation, account expansion, and day‐to‐day collaboration with Microsoft account managers and specialists. You will convert opportunities across Data Platform Modernisation, Microsoft Fabric, Analytics, and AI—shaping proposals and closing business with support from delivery leads and solution architects.
You will:
* Build and convert a high quality sales pipeline (net new logo focus)
* Drive cosell motions with Microsoft (identify, qualify, register, progress, close)
* Lead joint account planning; align strategies to Microsoft priorities and funding programs
* Run customer meetings, executive presentations, and commercial negotiations
* Shape proposals, SOWs, and deal structures that reduce risk and accelerate time to value
* Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and forecasting accuracy
* Support targeted marketing/events to generate demand and brand awareness
* Develop strategic account plans for key customers and expand existing footprint
* Contribute to partner/alliance initiatives that unlock scale
About You
You are a results‐driven salesperson who understands the Microsoft partner ecosystem and can turn Data & AI conversations into signed, multi‐phase programs of work.
You bring:
* 5+ years in technology sales / consulting / BDM roles
* A proven hunter mindset with strong pipeline generation and conversion capability
* Experience selling Data, Analytics, AI, or Cloud solutions
* Working knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and OpenAI value propositions
* Confidence engaging CIO/CDO/CFO and senior program stakeholders
* Excellent communication, presentation, and commercial negotiation skills
* Strong self management, prioritisation, and ability to collaborate with delivery teams
Nice to have:
* Experience at a Microsoft Partner or Microsoft
* Existing network within NSW enterprise or government sectors
