About the role
Due to ongoing growth, ThomsonAdsett is seeking a Mid-Senior Interior Designer to join our studio in Fortitude Valley. While you will be supported by ThomsonAdsett's leadership team to deliver your projects, experience in independently running small to mid-sized projects day-to-day is essential. Skills such as consultant coordination, liaising with the client and external project team, creating design presentations and documentation outputs, managing timeframes and budgets are critical to this role.
Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for supporting all aspects of project work across multiple sectors, delivering architectural design and documentation for projects across all project stages including:
* Develop concept plans and manage a project through client workshops and consultant team meetings to develop documentation suitable for lodgement for a Development Application;
* Create design presentations, with sufficient knowledge of Adobe software and/or 3D presentation software such as Enscape, Lumion or 3D Studio Max;
* Actively participate in Project User Group Meetings, including facilitating and minuting outcomes;
* Develop coordinated Revit documentation through liaison with consultants and other relevant project stakeholders through design development and construction documentation phases;
* Experience in managing a project through the design and documentation phases and maintaining positive client contact and clear communication with the consultant team;
* Work closely with the senior staff to ensure the design intent and quality is maintained through documentation;
* Contribute to the delivery of projects and project packages on time and budget.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be someone who has:
* 5+ years post-grad experience, with experience leading small-mid scale projects;
* A good understanding of National Construction Code and Australian Standards;
* Solid skill level in Revit with a minimum of 5 years of documentation experience on complex architectural projects;
* Experience in project management, consultant coordination and liaising with our client and project stakeholders;
* Experience particularly in Concept Design, Design Development and Contract Documentation;
* High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – Indesign, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat accompanied with good graphics skills;
* An enthusiastic, collaborative approach and great team communication skills;
* A desire to work on a diverse portfolio of projects.
