About the Role
We are seeking an organised and reliable Store & Purchasing Officer to support our technicians, projects, and sales team.
This is a hands-on role responsible for purchasing, inventory control, and day-to-day store operations to support fire services maintenance and installation works. You will work closely with technicians, suppliers, and sales staff to ensure materials are available, compliant, and delivered on time.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:-
* Purchase fire protection equipment, parts, and consumables
* Raise and manage purchase orders
* Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
* Receive and issue goods to technicians and projects
* Prepare job kits for service and upgrade works
* Liaise with suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery
* Support sales with pricing and product availability
* Conduct stocktakes and manage min/max stock levels
* Ensure products comply with relevant Australian Standards
About You
We are ideally looking for someone who possesses the following attributes:-
* Experience in stores, purchasing, or inventory control
* Strong organisational and computer skills
* Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
* Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
* Desirable: - Experience in fire services, building services, or construction - Knowledge of fire protection equipment or Australian Standards - Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
