Overview
Field Services Engineer (with electrical competencies) – Hundegger Australasia Pty Ltd. Based in NSW, Wollongong ideal, with regular travel around the country and occasional international travel. Job Title: Field Service Technician NSW/QLD.
Based in Bavaria, Germany, Hundegger are world leaders in fully automated CNC solid timber processing machinery for engineered timber products. Hundegger Australasia Pty Ltd serves Australia and New Zealand with a Sales, Spare Parts and Remote Service facility in Rowville, Victoria, and supports over 140 installations across Australia and New Zealand.
Role Responsibilities
* Scheduled Servicing and repair of Hundegger machinery at customer sites.
* Carry out in-depth technical investigations of system issues and provide accurate recommendations to the Customer and Service Manager.
* Identify and correct failures or defects incurred during operation in a timely manner.
* Perform training for existing and/or new customer staff in efficient operation and basic maintenance of Hundegger machinery.
* Ensure all installation safety requirements and protocols, including adherence to SWMS and SOPs, are up to date.
* Production monitor and assist/advise customers on process improvements.
* Install new machinery – standalone or integrated with automated systems at customer sites.
* Provide rostered remote support to customers and machines during regular business hours.
Before Applying, You Will Have
* Experience as a multi-axis CNC wood working machinery Service Engineer/Technician (or other multi-axis CNC experience) with Electrical/Mechanical Trade skills.
* Will to travel.
* Excellent customer relationship skills.
* Solid computer skills.
* Willingness to work autonomously as a Service Technician.
* Experience in the repair and maintenance of general mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently.
* Solution-oriented approach in challenging situations.
* Excellent communication and remote diagnostic skills.
* Australian residency.

Remuneration will be commensurate with the skills of the applicant and will include an attractive salary, approved overtime, vehicle provision and training. The role requires frequent travel; approximately 70% of the time will involve traveling to customers. Initial training will be provided in Australia and German-based training is likely for the successful candidate.
