Job Title: Transportation Logistics Coordinator
The key responsibility of a Transportation Logistics Coordinator is to oversee the daily operations of freight and transport activities on a construction site. This involves ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, materials, and personnel.
This role requires coordinating with various stakeholders, including construction crews, transportation providers, and project teams. The coordinator must also ensure that all activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement logistics plans to optimize freight flow and minimize disruptions.
* Coordinate with project teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards through regular audits and inspections.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements in freight and transport operations.
* Maintain accurate records of logistics plans, incidents, and schedules.
Required Qualifications:
* A degree in Traffic Management, Logistics, or a related field is highly desirable.
* A minimum Class C Driver's Licence is required.
* A White Card is also necessary.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in transport management, logistics, or a related role is preferred.
* Familiarity with traffic management software and tools is an asset.
* Knowledge of load restraint, loading/unloading, and transport safety requirements is essential.
