OverviewAre you interested in becoming a Learn to Swim Teacher OR do you have passion for Lifeguarding?
If you have an interest in teaching, a passion for swimming and enjoy working with kids, we want to hear from you!
Here at the Lauriston Swim School, our Learn to Swim instructors are responsible for delivering structured in water classes for children aged 4-15 years old, focusing on water safety and stroke development.Learn to Swim Teacher – Responsibilities and QualificationsAUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water SafetyCPR CertificateExperience in instructing LTS programs and delivering skills-specific lesson plans is desirableExcellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate a variety of aquatic skills to children of all abilitiesExcellent interpersonal and customer services skillsFirst Aid qualifications are looked upon favourably, but not essential.If you are not yet qualified, but are interested in becoming a swim instructor, please follow the link below to view available courses!
You would be able to complete your AUSTSWIM observational hours here at the Lauriston pool, with a high prospect for ongoing employment.Our Aquatic Centre rules require employees to be a minimum 17 years of age as a Learn to Swim Teacher.Pool Lifeguard – Responsibilities and QualificationsPool LifeguardsCurrent Pool Lifeguard CertificateExperience as a Pool LifeguardCurrent First Aid CertificateCurrent CPR CertificateExcellent interpersonal and customer services skillsOur Aquatic Centre rules require employees to be a minimum 18 years of age as a Pool Lifeguard.Common requirementsBoth roles require an Employee Working with Children Check.Please refer to the Position Descriptions for full details of each of the positions.Applicants are encouraged to submit a short Cover Letter along with your CV addressed to Cathy Tan, Business Manager.We will be shortlisting applications as we receive them.Lauriston Girls' School is a child secure organisation which welcomes children, young people and their families.
