About this Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Specialist to join our team. As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality services, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and delivering assessment, consultative, and referral services for children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.
This is a 12-month maximum term contract, working four days per week in Dubbo with flexible hybrid working arrangements. You will be responsible for leading therapeutic assessments and planning through comprehensive assessments and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
* Develop and implement effective strategies to prevent and respond to pain-based behavior for young people
* Provide therapeutic expertise and guidance to support managers with reflective practice
* Advocate for and lead ethical, evidence-informed therapeutic practice, aligned with legislation, professional standards, and organizational policy
The successful candidate will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or other related disciplines
Current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body
Experience using evidence-based assessment tools with young people with trauma-informed behavior
A current driver's license
