We're Hiring: Business Support Officer

$51.12 per hour

Contract - Start ASAP until end of May 2026 (with possibility of extension)

Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

Position Overview

As a Business Support Officer, you'll provide high-level administrative support. Your work will help drive business research, reporting, implementation, and day-to-day operations that support the delivery of essential services.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Reception & Office Support
* Manage incoming calls, mail, and packages
* Provide office reception coverage
* Fleet Administration
* Book vehicles using UMS
* Check logbooks and fuel invoices for discrepancies
* Enter odometer readings
* Track vehicle applications
* Assist with the physical fleet tasks - comfortable entering/exiting or occasionally driving vehicles/trucks when gathering information or arranging servicing

Administration & Systems
* Record paper files using the Content Manager database
* Perform spare computer updates
* Provide ad-hoc admin support
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures

Mandatory Requirements
* Accounts payable experience (coding invoices using chart of accounts & job numbers)
* Strong analytical and research ability
* Excellent attention to detail & problem-solving skills
* Time management and ability to prioritise tasks
* Strong multitasking skills
* Clear communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to work in a team

Highly Desirable Skills
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* Customer support experience
* Confident use of **Microsoft Office Suite**
* Understanding of asset management and project lifecycles
* Ability to identify issues and implement solutions
* Adaptability with shifting priorities
* Initiative and ownership of your work
* Reliability, professionalism, and strong ethical conduct

**Note:** A criminal history check will be required prior to commencement.
