Buru Rehab is an Indigenous owned earthworks and mining services contractor. Our core business covers mine rehabilitation for projects throughout Western Australia. We're looking for a Multi-skilled Machine Operator to join our supportive team at one of our Client's projects at the Port in Port Hedland. This is an initial six-month opportunity with the potential to extend. The Role
This permanent full-time role will be supporting ancillary & other operational services across the Port facility. This includes operation, custody and card of the port production mobile plant fleet, equipment, and facilities.
* Bulk Earthworks around site (may include screening, stockpiling and reinjection of material
* Road maintenance works including delineating, windows, culverts, drains and windows.
* Management of sumps and ponds, under our environmental license
* Clearing and fencing works
* Vacuum excavation and truck operations
* General structural cleaning, including in wharf areas
* Assistance in the berthing and sailing of vessels as required
* Anything else required, as directed.
About You
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and thrives in a small, supportive team. While experience is preferred, we're also open to considering candidates with broader mining operations experience who are keen to learn and grow.
* Previous experience in mining/ mobile plant operations.
* Valid HR Drivers Licence
* Loader, Skidsteer, Excavator, Vacuum Truck tickets/ experience highly regarded but not essential (Any additional mining or machine operating tickets will be highly regarded).
* Ability to obtain a Maritime Safety Identification Card (MSIC) – a higher security clearance than a National Police Clearance.
* Hancock Iron Ore inducted (desirable but not essential).
* Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and respect in the workplace.
