Cable Beach House is seeking enthusiastic and experienced casual Commis Chefs.

Key responsibilities:
Working in all section of kitchen including hot section, cold larger, function preparation, breakfast and bulk catering.
Communicate with fellow team workers in passing on knowledge or directives from Head Chef/Sous Chef with regard to kitchen operations.
Work positively within a high-pressure team environment to produce food as per the requirements for the menus within the venue work.
Cook and present meals in accordance with the recipe and to ensure consistency of product and cost.
Adhere to stock rotation to ensure freshness of product.
Adhere to WH&S Compliance policy where it relates to the Food Operation.
Desirable qualifications and skills:
Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
1 year experience in a similar role (Commis Chef / Demi Chef / Chef de Partie).
Hard-working, reliable with a positive attitude.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
Food safe and allergen awareness training
Ability to be flexible with shifts, a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and evenings
