The Opportunity:
We are seeking expressions of interest from people to commence or continue a Boilermaker Apprenticeship in Newcastle, the Hunter or Upper Hunter areas.

Job Details:
As a Boilermaker Apprentice, your role will involve a range of responsibilities including grinding, welding, utilising thermal cutting equipment, and employing fabrication techniques to assemble, repair and construct various metal or steel products.

You will also utilise both hand tools and electrical equipment. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining a clean and organised workshop, while adhering to all policies and procedures with a primary focus on workplace health and safety.

Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will allow you to become a qualified tradesperson in the metal fabrication field and earn your MEM30319 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding) qualification.

About You:
A flair for welding and metalwork or enjoy hands-on building and creating projects
Be looking for a practical role that is full of engaging challenges and variety
Have completed a minimum of year 10 with a positive understanding of maths as you'll be reviewing and working to drawings
Have excellent listening skills, be able to follow instructions and keen to develop new skills
Have a positive, committed attitude and good communication skills
Be punctual, reliable and enthusiastic about the fabrication trade
Be safety conscious and always follow the PPE guidelines
Have the ability to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Check
