Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Community Support team in the community. No prior experience is required – we will train you to the Certificate III in Individual Support level and provide you with on‐the‐job training while you are paid.
Responsibilities
* Provide domestic assistance to clients in their homes
* Plan and facilitate shopping trips and errands
* Assist with personal care activities such as dressing, bathing and toileting
* Prepare meals and support meal preparation for clients
* Provide transportation to appointments and outings
* Attend to medical appointments – both to and from the doctor
* Engage in social and recreational activities with clients
* Assist with respite care and additional support services as needed
Requirements / Qualifications
* Must possess a genuine, positive attitude and be reliable
* Willingness to learn and work in a community‐based setting
* Ability to pass a National Police Check (we will assist with the process)
* Ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WVPC)
* Current NSW driver's licence is required
* Have a reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance (required for travel between clients)
* Legal residency: Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a permanent resident with access to state funding for the program
Shift Details
Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
