Job Description
In this role you will be responsible for:
Assisting to manage the statutory functions of the mechanical engineering team at the CHPP by:reviewing and monitoring compliance to the Mechanical Engineering Control Planmaking improvements to mechanical engineering practices and standards onsitefacilitating best practice risk management as it applies to mechanical engineering core hazards in the mining industrycompleting health and safety incident investigations Engaging and consulting internal and external stakeholders to facilitate problem solvingContributing to the continuous improvement of asset management of plant and structures at the CHPP sites including coal processing fixed plant, conveyors, rail mounted reclaimers and stackers, crushing plant, screens, pumps and structures including train loading infrastructure and coal and reject binsManaging various sizes of capital and improvement projectsDriving safety and performance standards and behaviours by being a positive leader and contributing to an effective & professional team environment

About You
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical EngineeringAn interest to develop your career and secure your Mechanical Engineer's certificate of competency from the NSW Resource Regulator is advantageous. Your career development will be supported by HVOHigh level of motivation to deliver positive engineering outcomes with a practical approachSound understanding of legislation, mechanical engineering standards and industry best practice as it applies to mining work health and safetyPromoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company valuesAbility to work both autonomously and within a team environment in a high paced, large and dynamic operationSound communication, consultation and facilitation skills
