We're expanding our team at In The Media PR, a fast-growing agency created by former journalists, for journalists who still want to influence the news agenda, see their work land and use their skills in a new way.
Who this role suits
You're a former (or current) journalist who:
* Is naturally persistent, curious and resourceful
* Thinks independently and backs their own judgement
* Knows when an angle isn't landing, and how to pivot it fast
* Has strong media relationships and newsroom credibility
* Can juggle multiple campaigns without losing momentum
* Enjoys autonomy and managing their own time in a remote environment
The role
You'll run PR campaigns end-to-end, owning both strategy and execution. That includes:
* Working directly with clients to develop and shape their stories
* Creating sharp, newsworthy angles that cut through
* Writing media releases and tailored pitches
* Interviewing and managing case studies
* Pitching and following up with journalists and producers nationally
* Securing coverage across print, digital, radio and TV
What you'll need
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a busy newsroom
* Strong editorial judgement and news sense
* Confidence pitching stories by email and on the phone
* The ability to work independently, proactively and remotely
