The Partnerships and Events Manager is intended to make a critical contribution to delivering sustained growth for the Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF). The position is the lead for two streams of fundraising: corporate partnerships, and the annual Million Dollar Lunch.
The position reports to the CEO and, as part of a small team, collaborates cross-functionally to share current and relevant information to support philanthropy and other fundraising activities, and other support when required.
The Partnerships and Events Manager collaborates with and has support from the Marketing and Fundraising Manager, and the Digital Communications Lead.
About the Children's Cancer Foundation
We raise and invest funds to develop new and better cancer treatments and support for children and their families. The Foundation was established by parents in 1992. They sought to create more comforting treatment environments for children, along with support for their families. The Foundation has raised over $76 million since inception, in part through the annual Million Dollar Lunch.
In addition, the Foundation funds additional research projects, as well as roles and services that support children who are being treated for cancer, and their families.
Position Background
The Partnerships and Events Manager is a newly configured position within the CCF team. The primary purpose of the role is to:
· Manage and grow the annual Million Dollar Lunch and
· Acquire, manage and grow a portfolio of corporate, tertiary and industry partners, delivering value for CCF through revenue growth and benefits exchange in accordance with CCF's partnership agreements and strategic objectives.
The role will also, where appropriate, provide support to CCF's other fundraising activities, such as community fundraising.
Required qualifications and experience
· Relevant tertiary qualifications in business/management, marketing, fundraising, or related field, or equivalent experience
· 5+ years experience in corporate partnerships, fundraising and B2B relationship management in the not-for-profit sector.
· A proven track record of securing, managing and growing high-value partnerships.
· Demonstrated high level project management and/or event management skills.
· Strong experience managing prospect pipelines, due diligence processes and CRM systems.
· Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and present to senior corporate stakeholders.
· Exceptional written communications skills, with experience creating compelling proposals and impact reports.
· High levels of organisation, initiative and adaptability in fast-paced environments, while maintaining focus on delivering outcomes.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
· A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work both autonomously and within a small team.
Mandatory Requirements
· Proof of eligibility to work and live permanently in Australia.
· Working with children check.
