**Your new role**
A rare and exciting opportunity for a Procurement Sustainability lead to join a supportive team on a 12 month fixed term contract. A remote WFH opportunity, with occasional travel to North NSW Coast hub, an ideal opportunity for a Sustainability and Risk expert based in NSW.
As the Procurement Risk and Sustainability Lead you will be responsible for the coordination and management of the Procurement Risk management initiatives and Sustainability programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement the Risk management and sustainability framework
- Manage and drive procurement assurance to proactively and reactively manage procurement related risks
- Connect and liaise with business stakeholders in developing plans, controls, mitigations, and review of Procurement risks
- Identify key Sustainable Procurement outcomes and benefits
- Identify, champion and coordinate implementation of social sustainability initiatives such as Buy Local and supplier diversity
- Develop metrics and baseline reporting for Procurement Sustainability across social and environmental pillars of sustainability
- Assess opportunities for environmental initiatives in the Procurement supply chain
- Identify and implement Scope 3 emissions reduction strategies in the supply chain
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Science, Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain
- Experience in developing, implementing and running Sustainability and ESG programs, within a Procurement and/or Supply chain environment
- Industry experience in Procurement sourcing, including managing contracts and suppliers
- Knowledge of the policy environment for social procurement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Expert MS office knowledge
