Opportunity
This role will see you working part-time (20 hours / week), 5 hours / day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at our Mount Hospital Clinic.
In this position you will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, assisting key stakeholders with clinical and administrative duties, and completing tasks which help to ensure clinics run efficiently and effectively.
You will be provided with a minimum of 3-months full hands-on training to set you up for success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures including getting them changed, verifying their identity, confirming their consent where required and cross-checking referrals and bookings
- Discharge patients as per protocol, complete billing accurately, and update documentation as needed
- Assist Radiographers and Radiologists with positioning, sterile procedures, and contrast administration (including cannulation after certification)
- Interpret referrals, locate prior reports, and ensure accurate data entry into various systems
- Prepare and label pathology slides/specimens and make relevant phone enquiries for blood pathology
- Set up sterile trolleys, draw up contrast, and operate imaging equipment including DEXA (after training)
- Maintain cleanliness of patient areas, manage stock levels, and ensure waste disposal protocols are followed
Qualifications
- Tertiary educated (degree or diploma) in a Scientific Discipline or Nursing
- A focused, systematic, disciplined individual
- Someone coachable and team-oriented with high EQ
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient care
- Someone with established critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively whilst under pressure
