Swintons IGA in Warrnambool, VIC is seeking a motivated and customer-focused supermarket retail assistant to join our team on a casual basis. What you'll be doing
* Providing friendly and efficient customer service at all times
* Assisting customers with product selection, answering inquiries, and resolving any issues

* Operating the cash register and handling cash and card payments
* Must be at least 18 years of age to operate cash registers and handle financial transactions
* Ensuring the store is well-presented and adheres to company policies and procedures
* Collaborating with the team to deliver a seamless shopping experience
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably in a supermarket setting
* Minimum of 1+ years of retail or customer service experience required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and colleagues
* Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
* A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude towards providing excellent customer service
* The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
