**About the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations**

**The Role**
Human resources support and administrative services are required to support DEWR's international engagement and posts overseas. The scope of this work includes:
- assisting the posts with business planning, staffing, budgets, and personnel services, as well as managing the relationship between DEWR and DFAT to provide corporate services for the posts.
- periodically coordinating logístical preparations for visits to the department by international delegations
- periodically helping to organise international travel by DEWR's ministers
- contributing to financial management within the branch.
As these international functions are being established within DEWR following machinery of government processes, this will be an exciting opportunity to contribute to establishing new and efficient processes. Support and guidance will be available in doing so.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
As an APS Level 6 International Support Officer, you will provide high quality services to support the two posts and other international travel and contribute to domestic coordination tasks. Responsibilities will include:
- Manage relevant human resources processes.
- Assist the officers at post to manage budgets.
- Administer the inter-departmental agreements through which DFAT provides the posts with corporate services.
- Contribute to approvals processes and logístical preparations for international travel by DEWR's ministers and incoming international delegations.
- Assist with other coordination and financial management tasks.
**Qualifications and Education**
- Previous experience in APS human resources or corporate services processes would be highly advantageous.
