As the Financial Accountant you will be part of the Financial Accounting team and responsible for supporting the business through end of period reporting and analysis, and supporting the audit functions.
Your main focus will be on general ledger and asset accounting support, and providing advice to key stakeholders across the financial management process, policy and frameworks.
Teamwork, collaboration and fostering strong relationships across your client groups is essential for you to bring to the team and succeed in this role.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Support asset and general ledger accounting including creating and entering journal entries
* Perform general ledger reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
* Support the preparation of the general purpose financial statements
* Support and participate in auditing activities through the provision of timely information
* Deliver quality management accounting services to the organisation, including budgeting and financial analysis
* Use a range of applications including Microsoft Excel and database software to undertake financial analysis

To be successful in this role you will have:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
* Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
* A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
* The ability to manage competing priorities
* Eligible for membership into CPA Australia, or CA Australia and New Zealand

This is a temporary full time position until June 2026, with a salary commencing at $105,560 plus 12.5% superannuation.
