About the Role
Our client is seeking a Philippines-based Offshore Accountant to replace both an internal finance resource and an outsourced bookkeeping provider.
This role combines senior financial leadership with hands-on finance and administrative responsibilities.
The Offshore Accountant will oversee company finances across multiple entities, including a drone cleaning business (KTV Working Drones Australia) and a SaaS technology company (Service Farm), while also managing the personal financial affairs of the Managing Director.
The position covers bookkeeping, management reporting, forecasting, compliance oversight, HR administration, and investment management.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly accurate finance professional who is equally comfortable preparing monthly financial packs and reviewing potential M&A; opportunities.
Strong experience in business finance and fundraising preparation, along with working knowledge of Australian compliance requirements (BAS, payroll, superannuation, ASIC filings), is essential.
Role Purpose
The Offshore Accountant provides end-to-end financial management and strategic oversight across the group's companies—currently a drone cleaning business (KTV Working Drones Australia) and a SaaS technology company (Service Farm)—as well as the Managing Director's personal financial affairs.
This position combines high-level leadership with hands-on finance operations, executive financial assistance, and light HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations
Manage accounts payable and receivablePerform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgersPrepare monthly P&Ls;, balance sheets, cash-flow statements, and forecastsDeliver formal monthly reporting packs with commentary and insightsMaintain accuracy and ensure timely reporting
2. Strategic Finance & M&A;
Develop and track financial forecasts and budgets across multiple entitiesPrepare financial models, pitch decks, and fundraising documents for M&A; activitiesProvide strategic advice on business growth opportunities
3. Compliance & Coordination
Oversee Australian compliance matters: BAS, payroll, superannuation, and ASIC lodgmentsLiaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure complianceMaintain accurate record-keeping and statutory filings
4. Personal & Investment Management
Track and oversee investments, including property and superannuationEvaluate and recommend investment opportunitiesLiaise with financial advisors, fund managers, and accountantsAdminister personal financial records for the Managing Director
5. HR & Executive Assistance
Draft, issue, and manage employment contracts using templatesBuild and edit job descriptionsHandle small-scale HR administration as the business growsCoordinate correspondence and manage advisor relationships
Skills & Experience
Proven senior finance experience, ideally with exposure to service-oriented industriesStrong background in financial operations, forecasting, and management reportingStrong hands on experience with Xero Accounting SoftwareExpertise in M&A; and capital-raising support is a big plusWorking knowledge of Australian compliance requirementsExperience managing HR processes, employment contracts, and job descriptionsExceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical capabilityAbility to balance hands-on accounting with strategic financial leadershipExcellent communication skills for interaction with senior management and external advisors
