* Availability: Mornings/Afternoons
* Time involved: 1‐3 hours per week
* Ongoing long‐term position
* Weekdays
* Volunteers use their own vehicles to deliver food in the community (valid Australian driver's licence required)
* Must be able to commit to at least one shift per week on a regular basis
* Region Days of Operation and Service Times:
o Launceston – Monday to Friday 10:00am – 1:00pm
o Burnie – Monday to Friday 9:00am – 12:00pm
o Queenstown – Monday to Friday 10:30am – 12:30pm
o Campbell Town – Monday to Friday 11:30am – 1:00pm
o George Town – Monday to Friday 12:00pm – 1:30pm
o Bridport – Mondays & Wednesdays 10:30am – 11:30am
o Evandale – Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:00am – 12:00pm
o Scottsdale – Monday to Friday 12:00pm – 1:30pm
Volunteer Responsibilities
* Deliver fresh and/or frozen meal packs to older and vulnerable people across Tasmania
* Lift and place food packages (approx. 10‐12 kg) in the boot of a vehicle
* Provide a friendly check‐in and foster genuine two‐way social interactions
* Maintain privacy rights and dignity of clients, ensuring confidentiality of information obtained during deliveries
* Document interactions in appropriate digital systems in a timely and professional manner
* Adhere to the Aged Care Code of Conduct and mandatory learning and development updates
* Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, free from discrimination
* Participate in mandatory training and ongoing support programmes
Requirements and Commitment
* Willingness to join a nationwide team delivering a social inclusion program within Aged and Community Care
* Access to your own vehicle; partial fuel reimbursements provided
* A current full Australian driver's licence and a completed Driver Declaration (if applicable)
* Undergo a National Police Check organised by Red Cross
* Commit to at least one shift per week, regularly and reliably
* Physical ability to lift and place food packages of the stated weight
* Good communication and conversational skills, with an emphasis on respectful, inclusive interactions
