Chief Executive Officer, Workplace Gender Equality Agency
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position offers a unique leadership opportunity to drive gender equality in Australian workplaces, overseeing a statutory agency that manages a world-leading dataset and regulatory functions under the Workplace Gender Equality Act.
The CEO will collaborate with government, employers, and stakeholders to advance legislative reforms, deliver data-driven insights, and promote cultural change, while ensuring strong governance and financial management.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring senior leader with a proven record of achievement, exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a deep understanding of gender equality challenges.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain or continue to hold the required baseline security clearance level for the role.
Baseline security clearances require you to be an Australian Citizen and meet the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency criteria.
Successful applicants will also be required to successfully pass a National Criminal History check.
The terms and conditions of appointment will be as specified in a Letter of Appointment to be issued following appointment by the Minister for Women.
