Service

Rehabilitation

Based at the Whyalla Hospital, the Restorative Care service (Rehabilitation Service) is available to clients within the Flinders & Upper North Local Health Network. Clients are assessed by a multi‐disciplinary team and participate in an intensive, time‐bound rehabilitation service that is tailored to their goals and needs. This may be during an inpatient stay in Whyalla or may be through the Ambulatory Rehabilitation program for clients who have discharged home across the health network. Tele‐health rehabilitation resources are also used to provide the intensity of Rehabilitation needed. The Rehabilitation service is used for clients after stroke, amputation, deconditioning or other neurological changes like Parkinson's disease.

About the Role

Working with greater autonomy, you'll play a key role in guiding and mentoring less experienced allied health professionals, assistants, and students.

As a valued member of a dynamic, multi‐professional team, you will collaborate with healthcare providers and community services to deliver a blend of preventative care, early intervention, therapy, and ongoing evaluation – helping individuals live fuller, more independent lives.
