**Your new role**
As a Pump Technician you will join a busy workshop working with other Technicians and reporting directly to the Service Centre Supervisor. You will be responsible for stripping and assessing, repairing, maintaining, assembling and testing a variety of mechanical equipment. Your duties will include but not limited to:
- All mechanical work on pumps, mechanical seals, valves, electric motors and mechanical drives
- Assemble new or overhauled equipment as per specifications
- Assemble, measure, record and test pumps, mechanical seals and valves
- Modify components and equipment as required
- General housekeeping of service centre workshop
- Always adhere to the safety policies
**What you'll need to succeed**
As a Pump Technician you will have prior workshop experience working on mechanical components and equipment. You will have the ability to positively contribute to a team environment.
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Machinist
- Previous experience working in a mechanical workshop ideally on pumps, seals, valves and motors
- Ability to measure with a micrometer to ensure correct measurement most need to be exact with no tolerance
- Ability to read and work from drawings
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Willingness to work overtime when required to meet deadlines
