Optus Hybrid Business Development Manager (B2B) for Small/Medium Businesses Customers

Gold Coast, QLD | Full-Time | $70k Base + Super + Car Allowance + Uncapped Commissions | Expected OTE $24K – $60K per annum

With a strong focus on new business growth, our team is expanding on the Gold Coast, and we're looking for a motivated Hybrid Business Development Manager. Optus Gold Coast is a division of Queensland Computers Pty Ltd, you will be working with a local company and team but with the full support of Optus's national presence.

You will engage directly with business owners and decision-makers, understand their challenges, and deliver solutions that create real business outcomes.

The Role

We are seeking proactive, results-driven sales professionals who thrive on strategic prospecting, executive-level relationship building, and closing new business opportunities. This outbound-focused role involves visiting client sites, developing high-value relationships, and managing a structured sales pipeline to deliver measurable results.

You'll be responsible for generating leads, converting prospects into customers, and growing your sales pipeline. Working closely with a supportive team, you'll track progress in CRM systems and consistently deliver high-impact results.

As part of a small but growing team, you will be given leads from within our existing customer base and have the opportunity to write large volumes of business with uncapped commission potential. You will still be expected to generate new business outside of the leads provided.

What You'll Be Doing

* Identify, prospect, qualify, and convert new business opportunities customer segment (20-200 Seat Businesses)
* Conduct face-to-face meetings at client sites to present tailored telecommunications solutions
* Build and maintain executive-level relationships with business owners, CFOs, GMs, and IT leaders
* Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and renewals, rewarding incentives for introducing customers to our Managed Services offering within Queensland Computers.
* Maintain accurate CRM records and report on sales activity
* Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales and pipeline KPIs
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless delivery and exceptional customer outcomes
* Development of account plans and sales strategies to achieve set targets

Our Ideal Candidate

* Minimum 3-5 years of B2B solution selling experience required (telecommunications or technology industry preferred)
* Proven track record in achieving sales targets
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
* Full-time availability and willingness to travel locally
* Australian Citizenship or permanent residency required
* Australian Driver Licence
