ACM is excited to offer a full-time position for a Graduate Farm Field Service Officer to join our Team. This position provides opportunity to grow and develop your career in the highly sort after Dairy sector.
About the role:-
The role of the Graduate Farm Field Service Officer is to support ACM's direct farm suppliers in Northern Victoria. Predominately covering conventional milk suppliers, with a potential role to play with A2 and organic suppliers you will gain hands on experience in supporting dairy farmers and managing milk supply operations. This entry-level role is designed to build an understanding of milk production, quality, logistics, supplier relationships and industry compliance.
You will work alongside experienced team members to develop practical skills, build relationships and support supplier initiatives to play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of milk into our manufacturing operations.
Acting honestly with transparency and integrity, duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:-
Farmer Support & Engagement
* Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
* Support suppliers with day-to-day queries related to milk quality, logistics and compliance.
* Undertake regular farm visits to monitor milk production, animal welfare and farm practices.
* Assist with the retention and recruitment of suppliers and contractual arrangements.
Milk Quality & Compliance
* Learn to interpret milk quality data and assist in identifying areas for improvement.
* Support the implementation of quality assurance programs on farm.
* Assist in the investigation and resolution of milk quality issues.
* Develop an understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and maintain reporting where required.
Finance
* Assist in the preparation of supplier income estimates and budgets
* Support the preparation of financial and other documentation in relation to supplier programs and grants.
* Data Collection & Reporting
* Assist in the forecasting of individual supplier's milk production to feed into ACM's S&OP processes.
Sustainability & Environmental Practices
* Support initiative related to environmental management, dairy effluent systems and sustainable farming practices.
* Learn about Organic certification requirements and assist organic suppliers where relevant.
Learning & Development
* Participation in training and development
* Participation in weekly and monthly team review meetings
* Participation in Regional Dairy industry forums as required
* Continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience:-
* Graduate Diploma or Tertiary qualification in related area (agribusiness or agricultural science preferred)
* Strong analytical skills
* Dairy industry knowledge preferred but not essential.
* Sound literacy, numeracy, communication and computer skills
* Demonstrate a willingness to learn, initiative and strong work ethic
* Organised with excellent time management skills
* Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment
* Maintain a valid drivers licence
