The position of Chief Agronomy Officer for Statewide Agricultural Programs is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the direction of agricultural programs across the state.
This role will provide guidance and leadership to program managers, ensuring that statewide programs in agriculture are delivered consistently and effectively.
About the Role
* Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee program delivery under the state's strategic plan, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and impact across the state.
* You will drive proactive partnerships with government and industry stakeholders, manage program interdependencies, and monitor performance against key indicators.
* A critical aspect of this role is ensuring risks and issues are identified, communicated, and mitigated, while maintaining program governance, reporting, and review frameworks.
* You will provide centralized coordination and subject matter expertise across the state, ensuring statewide consistency and capability.
About You
* A seasoned leader with extensive knowledge of agronomy, program management, and executive-level leadership skills.
* Experience in leading state-wide programs, supported by strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts and influence diverse audiences.
* Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and build consensus, with the ability to anticipate and manage risks in dynamic and challenging environments.

Requirements
* Base pay range A$239,000/yr - A$264,000/yr.
