About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Apprentice Baker/Pastry Chef to join our team at Brown Sugar Bakery in Forresters Beach, NSW. This is a full-time role where you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of baking and pastry making under the guidance of our experienced team.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting with the preparation and production of a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes and other baked goods
* Learning proper mixing, kneading, shaping and baking techniques
* Preparing ingredients and following recipes precisely
* Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
* Providing excellent customer service when required
* Developing your skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and mentorship
What we're looking for
* A passion for baking and pastry making
* Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
* The ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
* A keen interest in learning and developing your skills
* Good physical stamina to be on your feet for long periods
* Relevant qualifications or a willingness to complete an apprenticeship program
