Job Description
Responsible for the release of materials to operations and the coordination of material flow between departments.
Manage workflow priorities and resolve material issues to ensure on-time deliveries.
Plan, execute, and control programs through operations to ensure timely product delivery to customers.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments, communicating with managers and supervisors to resolve material issues.
Report program status and schedules during meetings and to senior management.
Perform complex transactions in the MRP system, and compile reports and Excel spreadsheets detailing Work In Process (WIP) status, including material location, shortages, open sales orders, delivery dates, and Can-Build status.
Prepare purchase requisitions.
Work with purchasing and planning teams to eliminate material shortages and meet delivery deadlines.
Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings.
Release kits to production with proper travelers, operation sheets, and documentation.
Follow the processing of internal Manufacturing Orders (MOs).
Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with at least 8 years of experience, or a High School Diploma with over 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience in production control, planning, and supply chain management.
Experience tracking products through the manufacturing cycle, including handling electronic parts, assemblies, mechanical parts, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and RF subassemblies.
Familiarity with drawings, BOMs, manufacturing and assembly drawings, and shop orders. Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing is also required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ERP systems.
